Stepping out on Stage

Ask a Magician, a series of blog posts answering your questions! - Issue II

Today's question was received in a recent email from Amy in Birmingham, she writes:

Are you able to do a stage show for our event?

Yes! In fact, that's a popular choice for this time of year, what with all the Christmas parties going on. It's a great way to add a real WOW factor to your event. I tend to find these are usually in the evening, but I have performed my stage show during the afternoon too. Either way it brings people together, with a type of magic that isn't commonly seen.

Lots of magicians perform close up magic. I do too, but stage magic honestly is one of my favourite types of performance styles. That's why I've put in the time and effort to carefully craft a stage magic show that combines magic, mind reading, and comedy and can play for up to 400 people.

It's not easy to entertain a large crowd, to keep them hanging on your every word. With that in mind, you won't want to choose someone who is just "giving it a go". You want someone who has done this before, right?!

Well, I'll draw on my training in the worlds of acting and comedy, as well as my experience running my own regular monthly magic stage show to make sure you and your guests have an unforgettable experience. You'll be watching an expert at work, and the best bit is, you get the credit for booking such an accomplished magician!

It's a thrilling journey through the world of magic, and I would love to bring it to your celebration. I realise this post has been a little self-promotional, but I really do have the chops - why not see my online reviews on google, or a sneak peek of my stage show below:

It's easy to get in touch with me, either:

During a short phone or video call, we'll talk about your event and your initial ideas. Don't worry, if you're not sure. I've helped to plan many events so I can advise on the best use of magic and other events entertainment.

Once all the details are agreed, I'll send you a booking confirmation and ask you to make the first payment which confirms your date in my calendar. Then it's time to start looking forward to your big event.

I'll check in with you in the week before your event, and on the day of the event. All you need to do now is enjoy the magic, mind reading and conversational comedy.

  1. […] Stage magic is a performance to the whole group, usually on a raised platform, but this isn’t always necessary if you only have a small group. This is a great way to add the WOW factor to your event, as this type of magic is not as common as close up magic. It can also include event hosting, if you would like me to introduce awards or speakers. […]
