The process starts with an enquiry via my contact form or a short phone call to discuss your date and requirements. After agreeing on the details, I provide a booking agreement and request a deposit to secure the slot in my calendar. The remaining balance is typically settled shortly before the day of the performance.
This depends on a few factors such as the date, time, location, and which options you choose – close up magic, stage magic, or a mix of two. As a guide, most bookings for close up magic range between £500 and £1500. Sometimes it’s a bit cheaper (midweek / very local events), and sometimes the price grows with lots of add-ons and additions. Summary, budget at least £500 if you want a quality performer that won’t show you up. Want more specific details, you can request a no obligation quote here and I’ll reply as soon as possible.
I am based in Staffordshire which means I’m ideally located to cover most of the country. I frequently perform in Birmingham, Nottingham, Shrewsbury, Manchester, and London, but as one of the top magicians for hire in the UK, I am often asked to travel further afield. Distance is never an issue, and in fact, each year I perform at a few international events too.
It’s never too early to hire a magician for your event. I’ve found most clients hire me about 3 – 6 months in advance, but if it’s a key date that can’t change then some clients hire me up to 2 years ahead of their event.
Yes. If you’re holding an event with 150 + guests, then I can co-ordinate additional close up magicians to work alongside me. I’m well connected in the magic industry, and know all of the top professionals. Bonus: I’ll do all the organising, and logistics with them, so that you get maximum entertainment, zero stress.
Yes. I hold full Public Liability Insurance (PLI), organised for me by Equity (the performing artist’s union). I can provide a copy of my certificate to you or your venue coordinator upon request.
