How much does a Nottingham magician cost?

Magicians prices vary from one performer to another. That's because most magicians base their prices on experience. I talk more about that in this blog post - How much does a close up magician cost? The advice I would give you though is to don't just book the cheapest. You might get someone who knows a lot of trick, but you lose out on the experience. Confidence counts for a lot in this game! When a magician is confident (because they perform all the time!) they put your guests at ease, and help them to relax too. Plus you get a much higher quality service from start to finish!

Do you also perform stage magic?

Yes, as well as being a Nottingham close up magician, I also perform on stage. In fact, I've performed my incredible magic and mind reading stage show across the UK for audiences up to 500 guests. More than that though, I'm often asked to combine my stage magic show with events hosting. That's a great option if you would prefer me to weave magic throughout the night without having to find a slot during the evening for a show. Although if you do want the show format, then it can run from 20 minutes to 50 minutes to suit you. As a stage magician, I most commonly perform for awards nights, conferences, fundraisers and other corporate events. But if you've got another idea, please let me know. Some of the best events I've done have come when someone came to me with a crazy idea, and we worked with that to make their vision a reality.

Wedding entertainment, like the rest of your big day is a carefully pieced together puzzle. There's some things that are really personal to you. With that in mind, it's impossible to say everything here. However here are some initial ideas about where a wedding magician fits in as part of your wedding entertainment: After the ceremony - during the photographs, I'll mingle with guests sharing impossible magic in a relaxed setting. I'll bring your wedding to life. The wedding breakfast - I'll jump in between the courses to WOW each table with their own exclusive show. The afternoon turnover - I'll kick start the evening reception with incredible magic that revives day guests and welcomes any new guests. There are two main universities in Nottingham – The University of Nottingham, and Nottingham Trent University.

Each campus has many spaces available to hire for corporate events, and I’ve performed as a magician on both campuses.

There are also many colleges, and schools that also hold events, such as end of term balls / celebrations.

Just a few events that standout as a magician in Nottingham.

Walkaround Magic for at Trent Bridge, Nottingham

A few years ago, I was approached by Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club to entertaining guests at Trent Bridge during their T20 games, and later their The Hundred Series.

I’ve really enjoyed meeting a wide range of regular and visiting fans, and providing walkaround entertainment, close up magic, street magic, and even some breakout shows around the stadium.

For several events, I have worked alongside other entertainers and I was also asked to organise a team of Nottingham magicians for the busier match days.

Large events are never a problem for me, as I am well connected within the magic community and have great links with a small team of trusted professional magicians based in or near Nottingham.

Fun fact! At one of these events at Trent Bridge, my Nottingham magician colleague and I were asked (with about 30 seconds notice) to perform some magic to be transmitted live on Sky Sports! No problem though! I’ve been on TV before, and so I performed a very visual piece of magic where one bank note instantly changes into another.

This was a great event at the very trendy Hockley Arts Club in Nottingham – a three level bar, that is almost like a secret club. It’s not easy to find!

I was there to provide mix-and-mingle close up magic (event type checks out!) at a company networking social event, and what was particularly great was that everyone got involved.

My magic is very interactive. It’s built from conversation, not from a script, which allows people to get involved naturally. My close up magic, and comedy really went down well that night. So much so, that I actually booked three events off the back of it – two weddings, and a Christmas party for the company.

It’s not unusual for people to see me and want to hire me as a magician for their event. It is unusual for that to happen three times over the course of a 90 minute performance!
