How much does it cost to hire a magician in December?
Booking a high-quality magician for Christmas parties typically costs between £450 and £2000 in December. Midweek dates early in the month offer the best rates, while peak dates like Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve cost more. Get in touch for a tailored, no-obligation quote.
How far do you travel for Christmas party bookings?
I travel nationwide across the UK. I am based in the Midlands close to Birmingham and Nottingham, but as one of the leading close up magicians in the UK, I have clients in Manchester, Sheffield, London, and elsewhere too. Whether your event is in the UK, I am happy to bring my magic to you. Distance is not an issue.
What type of entertainment is best for a festive event?
Highly interactive, live performance is best, which is why hiring a professional Christmas party magician is the ideal choice. Unlike static acts, I mix with guests using close up magic to spark conversation, laughter, and genuine connection, effortlessly bringing the entire room to life.
Do you perform for New Year’s Eve parties?
Yes, I absolutely perform for New Year’s Eve celebrations. You can expect the rate to be higher than my normal fee, and the date does usually get booked up sooner rather than later, but I love bringing my magic entertainment to NYE events. If I’m already booked, I’m happy to recommend a trusted colleague from my professional network.
How far in advance should I book a magician for a Christmas party?
You should book as early as possible, as prime December dates fill up months in advance. Many corporate clients secure their Christmas entertainment early in the year. It’s always worth getting in touch though, as I might have a space or be able to recommend someone.
How long does your magic performance usually last?
Typically, for close up magic two hours is the sweet spot for most events, but I’m selling you an experience rather than time, if one hour works better, or slightly longer then I’ll give you my honest advice. For a complete experience, many party organisers pair a couple of hours of Christmas close-up magic with a spectacular 20 to 30 minute after dinner show to round off the evening perfectly.
Can you provide multiple magicians for large Christmas events?
Yes. For the largest Christmas parties (150 + guests) I can co-ordinate additional professional magicians to work alongside me. I’m well connected in the magic industry and work with only the top UK close up magicians. Bonus: I’ll do all the organising, and logistics, so that you get maximum entertainment, zero stress.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. I hold full Public Liability Insurance (PLI), organised for me by Equity (the performing artist’s union). I can provide a copy of my certificate to you or your venue coordinator upon request.
