I’ve performed at lot across Staffordshire, so there are too many events to mention, but if you want to find out about some of my past events here’s a few that stand out.
Wedding Magician for Sandon Hall, Staffordshire
As a wedding magician, I provide close up magic across the county (and wider across the UK), but Sandon Hall is one of the top wedding venues in Staffordshire that I love returning to.
I performed there recently for a wedding, providing close up magic around the drawing room, and in the conservatory.
As you can read from the glowing feedback below, it was enjoyed by everyone, and really added a spark to the event.
I do have to say though, that I’m not sure if he was a “heckler” per se – but I think I know what happened. My performance style is built from a conversation, not a script. I read the room in real time, and build moments that feel alive and real, rather than static, and cheesy.
I remember one guest who got involved, and “banter” is a great word for it, but remember this type of spontaneous interaction is what I do every week, so for me, it’s always taken in a light-hearted way, and I never thought they were really heckling – just being involved. I have performed at a lot of weddings throughout my career, but this one stands out as it was for a wedding cake baker and fellow wedding supplier. This is someone I knew fairly well after having met them at wedding fayres across Staffordshire.
Obviously, they had seen what I do as a close up magician, and were impressed enough to add it to their own Staffordshire wedding.
It was a fantastic day with some of the county’s top wedding suppliers. (Yes, she made her own cake!). I was pleased to help bring it to life with magic, mind reading, and comedy throughout the afternoon and in to the early evening.

What I loved about this event was that it was really family friendly. There were younger children there, as well as adults. I’ve noticed that one of my skills as a performer (and as a person), is being able to instantly connect with people from different ages and backgrounds.
Of course, I do that with magic, but not all magicians get this. I think it works for me because my magic is loose, lively, and interactive. It’s built from conversation, not a script. And that means people feel involved naturally, rather than ‘performed at’.
I was worried she was nervous, but when I asked if she was OK. She said, “Yes. You just make me laugh so much!”
She later told me we shared the exact same sense of humour. And to me, that is the ultimate compliment!
People often call the magic “impressive,” but for me, it’s the personal connection that matters most. As I explain to the magicians I mentor: people are more interested in people than things.

Corporate Conference Event in Stoke
A regional sales team recently hired me for their end of year event at Bet 365 Stadium in Stoke. Roughly 60 staff members attended, split across three separate breakout sessions throughout the afternoon.
During afternoon session just before the keynote presentation, I moved through the crowd performing close up magic in small groups. Cards, coins, and mind reading worked well, just quick surprises that sparked conversation between departments.
People who didn’t know each other ended up grouped together around the same trick, which seemed to help break down some of the usual departmental silos.
One accountant kept trying to work out how I did each trick, and by the end he was openly admitting defeat. I love reactions like that!
