Organising and Booking a Team of Magicians

In the world of event planning, entertainment is a cornerstone that elevates any occasion from a “boring work party” where everyone stands around talking about the weather and making polite chit chat, to an unforgettable experience you’ll be talking about at the next party you go to! Among the myriad of entertainment options, magic holds a unique place, captivating the imaginations of many, and providing a fun connection as you laugh along with friends, family and the magician.

When it comes to larger events, however, a single close up magician might not suffice. This is where the idea of booking a team of magicians comes into play, and it’s what I’ll be writing about today.

Here’s how I can help.

The Magic Ratio of Guests to Magician

The rule of thumb in the world of close up magic is that a single magician can comfortably entertain approximately 100 guests over the course of two hours. This ensures that the performance remains intimate and that each guest has the opportunity to experience the magic close up (the clue is in the name:‽)

Of course, you might add on an extra hour if you want the magician to mingle a little more and get to know your guests. And, if the magician is performing during a dinner, then an extra hour is useful as there will be moments they have to stand back while guests eat. But what happens when your guest list exceeds that magic number of 100 or when the time allocated for entertainment is less than two hours?

Maybe, for instance, you only have a 60 minute “cocktail hour” but 300 guests to welcome!

A team of super magicians to the rescue!

Whether it's a grand wedding reception, a bustling corporate event, or any large-scale gathering, having more magicians means that the entertainment is amplified without sacrificing the personal touch that close up magic is especially known and enjoyed for.

Lean on my Professional Contacts

Thankfully, you don't need to navigate the intricate world of magic alone. I’m very well connected within the magic industry and so I can assemble a team of magicians, from just two performers to an ensemble of twenty or more. No matter the scale of your event, I’m able to help.

And not only that, but by managing this on your behalf, I remove the hassle of dealing with multiple performers and paying multiple invoices. I’ll be your single point of contact, streamlining the whole the process and ensuring a cohesive and captivating entertainment package is delivered on the night.

Quality and Assurance

member of the magic circleIt’s worth noting that when I curate a team of magicians, I select only the finest professional performers individuals whom I know personally and trust to deliver a quality service. Often from my contacts within The World Famous Magic Circle.

I also make sure that each magician in the team holds public liability insurance because, when it comes to events, it's always better to be safe than sorry. This attention to detail means you can relax, knowing that your entertainment is in capable hands.

Another Option: Multiple Styles

And hey, for smaller events that might not require a large team, booking a duo of magicians is still a great idea. The combination of a magician and a mind reader offers an intriguing contrast and allows your guests to witness two styles of magic and a diverse showcase of talent.

Another Option: A Multi Magician Show

And here something extra! Fo those looking to take their event to the next level, I can organise a multi-magician stage show, based on my popular night of magic, The Magic Room. This type of show is perfect for capping off a conference, enhancing a product launch, or serving as the centrepiece of a gala dinner.
